Private Ownership of Property

One of the greatest things about the United States of America is that you can own your own property, build your own house and live a life on your own outside of apartment buildings. In Russia and many other countries for that matter, that is not a luxury the taxes are too high and in many cases the government can take your property any time they want for any reason.

While here in the United states it has not gotten so bad that property is near impossible to have. It is so bad that you can never own property...ever. In all 50 states there is a property tax. That means that no matter how hard you work you are ALWAYS renting from the government. While I understand that property taxes have pretty much always been around it is time for them to change. A person should at some point be able to own their land, if nothing else. John Locke asserted that that is one of the inalienable rights of man"Life, Liberty, and Property".

I understand that the government must be funded in order to do the things that it was meant to do, such as protect the people. But their reach is far too extensive. If someone has paid off their property they should be able to own it at some point free and clear (including taxes). A tax age cap should be implemented on property tax. At the age of say 55 you should be able to own your property entirely without the threat of it being taken. If you have paid it off you should be able to call it your own, not the governments.

I believe what Lenin said, and I believe that it can be used to better us or to bring us down to destruction. At the current time as in the days of Lenin it is being utilized to destroy us. Students in classrooms no longer learn about the danger of Socialism, the gateway to communism, for what it is. If we do not know our enemy then how can we ever hope to understand how to defeat it. We cannot trust the government to teach our children what they need to know. We must teach them the truth. I have lived in Russia I know the demoralizing destructive result of socialism and eventually communism. Freedom is a privilege that has to be fought for. Read to your families, tell your children what is right and true then we will once again have the America that is the "Land of the Free, home of the brave" and all that that implies

Al Gore, the forerunner for the global environmental crisis has turned out to be a hypocrite. While spreading his propoganda in Sweden he decided to leave his car running, for his entire speach, over an hour. In case there was any doubt about Al Gore's dedication to the environmental cause he just removed it all. He is a complete moron. How people like this ever obtain any power in this country is entirely beyond my understanding!

Lame Duck

If there is something that doesn't make sense to me about mid-term elections, it is the fact that regardless of who was elected by the people. The congress members who lost their seats still have the chance to pass pretty much whatever they want during the lame duck session. There should be no lame duck session! If the people voted members out, they obviously lost their seats for a reason, and they have no right to continue to legislate against the will of the American people. One of two things needs to happen. Either the voting date needs to be changed, or the last session of congress needs to be held before the elections. We did not vote to continue to see our will violated. We voted to change what is being done immediately, and that, is exactly what should be done. Now, not after the "Lame duck session".

I know that I have written on entitlements before. Well, I am going to write about them again. They are destroying this country plain and simple. The less people want to work, the longer we are going to stay in this recession. The government isn’t going to get us out. The government has never produced any wealth in its entire existence. The more entitled we become, the more rapidly this country will be destroyed, or at least brought to it's free knees. If no one is working, then where will the government get their money? Now I understand that there are legitimate situations in which people need assistance. But I would encourage people in those situations to look for other sources. Sources that teach men to fish, not those that merely give fish. When men are the recipients of handouts we can quickly become broken, and diffident. We need to get back to being self-reliant, to being men. The government does not provide, it is not, nor has it ever been the government's responsibility to feed us, cloth us, and or pay our mortgages. Now we have MSNBC saying that it is time for a social revolution. That everyone should just stop paying their mortgages.

If this is a legitimate news source, I don't know what our country's fate is. It is as it always has been, in our hands. If we think that we have no power, we most assuredly are mistaken. We are Americans! America has been great in the past, because her people were great. "Whatever your life's work is, do it well. A man should do his job so well that the living, the dead, and the unborn could do it no better" Martin Luther King, Jr. It is time for us to do our work, and do it well. We can only remain free if we are willing to work for it!

Immigration

I love how the president uses everything humanly possible for his political gain. Now he's going to give 11 million illegal immigrants citizenship. I predict just in time for the 2012 election. As he says it just isn't feasible to deport them. Come on Obama who are you too talk about expensive what happened to those billions of dollars. I know the entire stimulus is still not accounted for, not to mention it didn't have any effect. So maybe you should use some money to do something worthwhile. It is feasible. Yes, Obama there are some who are just here for a better life. What about all those who are here to ruin other's lives.

I am so tired of hearing people all over talking about the rights of illegal immigrants under the constitution. Guess what, they have no rights under the constitution. They are not citizens. Being an American is not, nor will it ever be a right. It is a privilege that millions of people are trying to legitimately work for. Regardless of what they are here for, it's not a very good track record to start off breaking the law.

Let me propose a new immigration law. First of all we secure the border, that obama says is already secure, but is not. We build a fence and wall across the whole thing. Then we stop enabling illegal citizens. We need to crack down on businesses hiring illegals. Then we need to enable everyone and pass a national law like the Arizona law. Then, we need to enforce said law. Not just ignore it and act like it wsa never passed. We need to enable our law enforcement to actually deport as many as possible. Sure, we can't feasibly deport every single illegal. However, we can certainly can show everyone else that is thinking about crossing the border illegally that it needs to be done the right way. We will not reward those who are breaking the law. Many people may say this view is harsh. However, being an American is a privilege and we appreciate what we work for.

Out of touch?!

"He can’t be that out of touch." Obama when are you going to stop blaming everyone for every problem in this country and own up to your actions. Republican house leader Boehner was quoted by Obama saying that Obama's financial reform bill is like use a nuke on an ant. Obama used what he said to say that the republicans are out of touch "he can't be that out of touch" Well,what about you Obama. Do you know what people are saying about you. You don't even need to talk. We can see how out of touch you are based upon your actions! How can you justify preaching how we are on the rise out of financial crisis,saying that we have avoided a depression and the financial crisis is over. Not only that but you say every economist who looks at it says we're on the way to recovery?! I want to know who said that, and how long they've been working for you. How out of touch are you Obama. Do you know what's going on. Stocks are down, jobless claims are up, recovery is certainly not what I would call it. No, of course you don't, you're too busy campaigning, and worrying about throwing this country into a socialist tailspin. Start acting like a man Obama own up to what is going on, and what you've done!

A Concerned American

I can no longer stand idly by and watch what is going on around me. I'm 21 years old and I'm going to have a heart attack if I don't at least say something. I wish I could have personal meetings with Obama, and with congress. So that I could tell them personally, probably to no avail, that they should be ashamed of themselves. But since I can't do that I will do what I can, in hopes that someone, somewhere, will hear my voice. So that I know that I am not alone. When together can restore the America that Washington could still be proud of. I assure you that if we all remain separate; If we do not voice what we know to be right. We will fall! Because most assuredly that is the direction we are headed.

What in the world is going on in congress? The "hearings" with BP. Those are not hearings. Is it Thursday???? What are you doing having hearings before the investigation is complete? Congress is acting like a bunch of children. Congress is so surprised when the CEO, Tony Hayward has no answers. Yet, they are tying up the man that they think has all of the power. When he should be doing what is really important. Stopping the devastation, putting all of his effort into stopping the leak. Not sitting in a room with a bunch of politicians who are acting like this is a playgroung. Wait for your little playground face-off until after the problem is solved. Not right smack dab in the middle of it. You aren't investigating anything. You're just playing a political, media game! Shame on Tony Hayward for not standing up and saying let me do my job. Let me do what Americans are legitimately concerned about. Then we can talk.

What is Obama doing? He and his political agenda have got to be stopped! Who does he think he is trying to force BP into compensating the American people for damages, reasonably so, BUT outside of the law? There is absolutely no way that strong arming a private company into compensation fits anywhere within the statutes of U.S. law. If the President of the United States cannot obey the law. Who should be expected to! Obama this is not your playground! These are peoples lives! Where in the world does he get off putting a hold on all offshore drilling, contrary to the advise of scientists? Then he tells BP that they need to compensate those people that he has put out of work. When you were the one who did it Obama? Always blaming everyone else for his problems. That should come out of his own pocket. Then you create a comittee that has no experience with oil, to investigate offshore drilling. What is the deal! On top of all that. While this is going on he is trying to pass cap and trade. Which will cause the price of energy to "necessarily skyrocket". Meanwhile he is starting offshore drilling in Brazil, loaning 2 billion dollars. Taking away all of the jobs that we have here on our own shores. How in the world? when is the president going to get interrogated??

Surely you agree with Joe Barton. When he said this, "I’m not speaking for anyone else, but I apologize. I do not want to live in a county where anytime a citizen or a corporation does something that is legitimately wrong, [it is] subject to some sort of political pressure that, again, in my words, amounts to a shakedown.”

I assure you, Congressman Barton that you do speak for someone else. I to apologize for what some people have done to this country!

In light of what has recently taken place in these Great United States. I believe there is something to be done, something that must be done. During 9/11 the enemy was without now in 2010 the enemy is within. I feel that we have not only the right, but the responsibility to show our belief in America as the Republic that it truly is. These past few months and as a matter of fact years we as a people have been pushed around by the government that we created. We would all do well to remember that it was not the government that has made us who we are. The government did not create the United States, WE did! Recently we have received less freedoms and more burdens than we should be willing to take. We have allowed men whom we appointed to tell us how we feel and what we need. That is not what I signed up for. It is not what WE signed up for. We live in the United States of America. The greatest nation this world has or will ever see.
I believe that it is time for us to take her back, and we can do it, together. Together we can make a difference. We can show our belief in this great country that was established by great men. Men who would be furious to see what it has become. Together we can show the government and those who want this nation to fall that we will not allow them to take it! At least not without a fight! It seems difficult at times to know, what can do in times like these. We can do something simple, as I have said together we can show that we believe in America as it once was and as it can be once again. During 9/11 we banned together. Not because of the government, but because we believed what the United States of America and the flag that we proudly fly high represents something, something extraordinary. Let us ban together again to show the government that we the people will take our America back. Today I will buy an American flag and I will fly it high and proud. For everyone that believes in America I would ask that you do the same. Together we can and will restore this nation to greatness!

Time to say, NO!!!

I was just reading some of the most recent news. I read that 75 percent of American youth are ineligable to serve in our armed forces. Why? Because an overwhelming percent of youth today are either too stupid, too fat, or too dishonest. Simply stated we live in an over priveleged generation it's time to say no!

We see it every day in every aspect of life. The government giving out money to bail out everyone possible. People going bankrupt to get out of debt they have gotten themselves into. Youth who think they should be able to have everything they want when they want it. Young couples who want a bigger better house than their parents have now. Children who don't want to do their homework. People who don't want to work but think they deserve the money. People who want the house without having to pay the mortgage. People who want a new car that they really can't afford instead of an old one. People who want to get paid for doing nothing, and the government is paying them to do nothing. People who want a government to feed them cloth them and give them everything they want and need, but they don't want to think about the cost in the long run.

It's time to say, NO!! The only way America is going to return to what it once was is if someone starts saying no. The only way to get this country out of debt is not to keep printing money, it's to say no. We won't make any new programs because we need to be fiscally responsible as a country! We need legislators who aren't afraid to say no. We need people who aren't willing to take something when they haven't earned it. We need a President who doesn't give into every whim of every person on this planet without thinking about the cost to the individual. We need people who are willing to tell their children no when they want something that they haven't earned. In short if what we have is important to us and we want to keep, and improve it, we need to start saying NO, NOW! Then, and only then will America return to the moral, free, economically thriving country that it was, and continue to improve, to become what it is destined to be!

Consequences

One of the most unnerving parts about the Obama administration is its inability to look at the consequences of its actions. It's obvious that they don't want us to think about them either, because it really isn't that often that they are the ones that mention them, at least not the real ones.
Just a couple of examples:
First and foremost the stimulus money, there really are only a few people who are thinking about the consequences of that one. We are living in an ever more privileged, selfish society who wants something for nothing and think it's deserved. People think free money that’s amazing way to go Obama. Don’t know how he did it, but he’s giving us FREE money. But there are those nasty consequences again. What happens when you get something from nothing. Well, in case you didn't know you can't get something for nothing, it's not possible there is a price for everything and if it isn't paid immediately it will be paid eventually. Obama just keeps printing money, if there's not enough just print more right, why not, it's free. Wrong there is a great cost. Right now the value of our currency is steadily falling and no one wants our money when there is nothing to back it. So suddenly our money has no value and our entire economy is collapsed. But it looks like that's what is wanted by the current administration anyway. It's a whole lot easier to take over an insolvent country than it is an economically stable one
Cash for clunkers- First of all it didn't work in the first place because the dealers were never getting the money that they were promised by the government. But they did sell more cars, more money went out of the hands of consumers into THAT market. I say THAT market because what the Obama administration didn't think about was the fact that there are also used car dealers. When you sell more new cars what happens to used car dealers, oh wait, they sell less used cars. Hmmmm, interesting how that works isn't it. You can make choices but you HAVE to think about the consequences of your actions. If it were an isolated situation I might think that it was coincidental. That it might not happen again, but it is not the first and it certainly won't be the last.

Are We Ready to Give America up to Communism?

This is not an issue about Democrats or Republicans, it hasn't been for a very long time. This is an isssue between people who love and support this great nation, The United States of America, and people who simply do not. There are some who would have a change in our system, let me make it more clear what they mean when they say that. They mean they hate capitalism, and they think that Marxism will work better.

Well, let me tell you something, it won't, EVER! All we need to do is look at history and we will learn all we need to know about the truth. I have personally seen what communism does to a country, having lived in a "formerly" communist country for two years and trust me we don't want to get anywhere near it. Sure our system isn't perfect, but it is the best system this world has ever seen, and if we would make steps to return it to what it originally was, we would see a system that is as close to perfect as this world will ever see. Of course we need some changes, we need to step back and take another look at the constitution and live by it. But first we have to stop the direction it is heading, only then can we turn around!

There are many minority groups which have made an enormous difference in the world for the better. I believe that it is time for the moral majority to make a difference!

I will not disguise who I am, I am a Christian and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with a strong belief in God. We may even differ in some of our religious convictions, but surely you understand that this is not just an issue of politics. Part of the reason that I feel so strongly is because I have spent the last two years of my life in countries where freedoms such as we enjoy are dreamed of, and I was dissapointed when I returned to see this great nation declining further into that very direction. I feel that a change must be made, and it is time to make one! I echo the words of the Founders of this great Nation. One Nation under God!! As a great man once said, and I now echo "I seek not for power but to pull it down. I seek not for honor of the world, but for the glory of my God, and the freedom and welfare of my country"This is a group reserved for all those who are willing to stand strong to defend the freedom and moral character of The United States of America! I am not willing to stand back and watch our great nation be destroyed from the inside. Everything is not ok in America, it has not been for a very long time! We must look at the world as it is not as it ideally might be.For surely what Benjamin Franklin said so many years ago still applies today,"We must all hang together, or assuredly we shall all hang separately"

THE MISSION STATMENT

1. Restore moral character to the nation, that includes patriotism and god! "I sought for the key to the greatness of America in her harbors; in her fertile fields and boundless forests; in her rich mines and vast world commerce; in her public school system and institutions of learning. I sought for it in her democratic Congress and in her matchless Constitution. Not until I went into the churches of America and heard her pulpits aflame with righteousness did I understand the secret of her genius and power. America is great because America is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, America ceases to be great." Alexis de Tocqueville

2. Gradually rid our nation of the destroying socialism which has crept in. Ezra Taft Benson said it well: In a primitive state, there is no doubt that each man would be justified in using force, if necessary, to defend himself against physical harm, against theft of the fruits of his labor, and against enslavement of another. This principle was clearly explained by Bastiat: "Each of us has a natural right - from God - to defend his person, his liberty, and his property. These are the three basic requirements of life, and the preservation of any one of them is completely dependent upon the preservation of the other two. For what are our faculties but the extension of our individuality? And what is property but an extension of our faculties?" (The Law, p.6)Indeed, the early pioneers found that a great deal of their time and energy was being spent doing all three - defending themselves, their property and their liberty - in what properly was called the "Lawless West." In order for man to prosper, he cannot afford to spend his time constantly guarding his family, his fields, and his property against attach and theft, so he joins together with his neighbors and hires a sheriff. At this precise moment, government is born. The individual citizens delegate to the sheriff their unquestionable right to protect themselves. The sheriff now does for them only what they had a right to do for themselves - nothing more. Quoting again from Bastiat: "If every person has the right to defend - even by force - his person, his liberty, and his property, then it follows that a group of men have the right to organize and support a common force to protect these rights constantly. Thus the principle of collective right --its reason for existing, its lawfulness -- is based on individual right." (The Law, p. 6)So far so good. But now we come to the moment of truth. Suppose pioneer "A" wants another horse for his wagon, He doesn't have the money to buy one, but since pioneer "B" has an extra horse, he decides that he is entitled to share in his neighbor's good fortune, Is he entitled to take his neighbor's horse? Obviously not! If his neighbor wishes to give it or lend it, that is another question. But so long as pioneer "B" wishes to keep his property, pioneer "A" has no just claim to it. If "A" has no proper power to take "B's" property, can he delegate any such power to the sheriff? No. Even if everyone in the community desires that "B" give his extra horse to "A", they have no right individually or collectively to force him to do it. They cannot delegate a power they themselves do not have. This important principle was clearly understood and explained by John Locke nearly 300 years ago: "For nobody can transfer to another more power than he has in himself, and nobody has an absolute arbitrary power over himself, or over any other, to destroy his own life, or take away the life of property of another." (Two Treatises of Civil Government, II, 135; P.P.N.S. p. 93)Students of history know that no governement in the history of mankind has ever created any wealth. People who work create wealth. James R. Evans, in his inspiring book, "The Glorious Quest" gives this simple illustration of legalized plunder: "Assume, for example, that we were farmers, and that we received a letter from the government telling us that we were going to get a thousand dollars this year for plowed up acreage. But rather than the normal method of collection, we were to take this letter and collect $69.71 from Bill Brown, at such and such an address, and $82.47 from Henry Jones, $59.80 from a Bill Smith, and so on down the line; that these men would make up our farm subsidy. "Neither you nor I, nor would 99 percent of the farmers, walk up and ring a man's doorbell, hold out a hand and say, 'Give me what you've earned even though I have not.' We simply wouldn't do it because we would be facing directly the violation of a moral law, 'Thou shalt not steal.' In short, we would be held accountable for our actions."The free creative energy of this choice nation "created more than 50% of all the world's products and possessions in the short span of 160 years. The only imperfection in the system is the imperfection in man himself."

3. Restore the power to the hands of the people. The federal government was never intended to be the juggernaut that it has become. Things should be done on the smallest local level with little reliance upon the federal. If it can be done by the people it should be, if it can be done by the county it should be, if it can be done by the state, it should be. If, and only if it can be done on no other level should it be turned over to the Federal government, and even then only what the state cannot do!

4. Restore incentive to earn a living and work hard. Restore balance to this nations economy, in the only permanent way! Remove tax brackets, this means that everyone is taxed on an equal level, now you may not think this is very significant, but think about it for just a moment. What happens if you tax the people in a high earning tax bracket more? They have no incentive to work because the government is taking all of the money that they have worked so hard to earn, and the people who already are not working have no motivations to start because the government is paying them not to work. So in short the rich become poor, and the poor become poorer. So no one is paying taxes, yet the government is spending more money than ever, eventually leading us to national insolvency! Now do you see the significance?Thomas Jefferson understood this principle very well and explained it this way: "The way to have good and safe government, is not to trust it all to one, but to divide it among the many, distributing to every one exactly the functions he is competent to. Let the national government be entrusted with the defense of the nation, and its foreign and federal relations; the State governments with the civil rights, law, police, and administration of what concerns the State generally; the counties with the local concerns of the counties, and each ward direct the interests within itself. It is by dividing and subdividing these republics from the great national one down through all its subordinations, until it ends in the administration of every man's farm by himself; by placing under every one what his own eye may superintend, that all will be done for the best. What has destroyed liberty and the rights of man in every government which has ever existed under the sun? The generalizing and concentrating all cares and powers into one body." (Works 6:543; P.P.N.S., p. 125)It is well to remember that the states of this republic created the Federal Government. The Federal Government did not create the states.

5. Tip the criminal scale back to the right side. Restore power to the police. We are discouraging the protectors of our nation more and more every day with the way we pass laws restricting their efforts, and freeing criminals as quickly as they are arrested.6. Restore to our educational system the importance of freedom and the absolute destruction which is brought through socialism. In accordance with that should be the important role which the founders have played in our nations history, and why they worked so hard to protect her. If you'd like to make a difference you can begin by inviting everyone you know to join in our effort to restore American independence.
I raise a title of liberty as was raised a very long time ago-- In memory of our God, our religion, and freedom, and our peace, our wives, and our children-- Let us make a difference that has been so crucial for so very long! Let us not turn away because the road is unsure, this nation needs us more than ever, if we intent to keep our freedom, it is time to do something about it!
